China Candle Export
China has abundant paraffin resources and relatively low labor costss. Large-scale candle manufacturing enterprises in China were mainly established after 1995, mainly small and medium-sized private enterprises. The quality and craftsmanship of candles differ greatly. At present, there are more than 600 candle companies in the country, mainly located in Zhejiang, Guangdong, Liaoning, Shandong, Fujian, Hebei, Shanghai and Tianjin. These companies are concentrated in raw material producing areas and export ports. China’s candle exports occupies a pivotal position in the international arena.
Total Export
The total export volume accounts for about 70% of the world market. The main markets are for European and American countries. From 2015 to 2019, the export volume of candles produced in China continued to grow. In 2019, the export volume of various candles in China was 317,500 tons.
Export to Australia
The number of Chinese candles exported to Australia accounted for 2.5% of the total Chinese candle exports. From 2017 to 2019, the number of Chinese candles exported to Australia has remained at a slight fluctuation above 8,000 tons.
Export to other Countries
In the first half of 2020, China’s candle exports are mostly concentrated in Taiwan, Europe, America and a few African countries, mainly for religious activities, holidays and daily consumption. Among them, Europe and the United States mostly use craft candles, and African countries mostly use lighting candles. (The above data comes from public information)
