Fujian Province
Located on the southeast coast of China, across the sea from Taiwan Province. The total land area is 121,400 square kilometers. There are many mountainous areas in Fujian, and the area of mountains and hills in the territory accounts for about 90% of the total area of the province. Most of these mountainous areas are covered by forests, making Fujian’s forest coverage rate 62.96%, ranking first in the country. Fujian has the second longest coastline in the country, with a tortuous coast and numerous islands.
Fujian’s economic aggregate ranks eighth in the country and is one of the fastest-growing provinces in China. The population of Fujian Province in 2019 was 39.73 million, and the population in 2009 was 34.66 million. Fujian Province has jurisdiction over 9 cities including Fuzhou, Xiamen, Quanzhou, Zhangzhou, Putian, Longyan, Sanming, Nanping and Ningde, and 3 international airports. The capital is Fuzhou.
Digital Economy Innovation Development
The GDP of Fujian Province in 2009 was 423.95 billion yuan, and the GDP of Fujian Province in 2009 was 844 billion yuan. In 2019, Fujian Province was selected as the China Digital Economy Innovation Development Pilot Zone. Electronic information, mechanical equipment, petrochemical and metallurgical building materials are the pillar industries. The growth rate of the digital economy industry chain such as big data, cloud computing and VR ranks second in the country, and the comprehensive index of informatization remains at the forefront of the country.

Fujian is also one of the important bases of tropical and subtropical economic crops in China, and the sugar cane yield per mu and sugar content rate are among the highest in the country.
