Guizhou Province

Located in the hinterland of the inland area of ​​southwest China, the eastern part of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, with an area of ​​176,167 square kilometers.

It is a transportation hub in southwest China and an important part of the Yangtze River Economic Belt. It is the first inland open economic pilot zone in the country. National-level big data comprehensive test area, world-renowned mountain tourism destination and mountain tourism province, the largest waterfall in Asia, Huangguoshu Waterfall, is located in Guizhou. 92.5% of Guizhou Province is mountainous and hilly, with Sichuan and Chongqing in the north, and Guangxi and Yunnan in the south.

In 2019, Guizhou’s GDP was 1,676.934 billion yuan, ranking 23rd nationwide. The population in 2019 is 36.229 million, ranking 19th nationwide.

Minerals & Mining and Industries

Guizhou has large coal reserves, complete coal types, and excellent coal quality, ranking fifth in the country, and is known as “Jiangnan Coal Sea”. Bauxite reserves are 424 million tons; phosphate ore reserves are 2.695 billion tons, accounting for more than 40% of the country’s total; barite reserves are one-third of the country; coal bed methane, shale gas and other emerging energy resources are rich in reserves The reserves of coal bed methane below 2,000 meters are 315.1 billion cubic meters, ranking second in the country. The gold mine reserves rank the twelfth in the country and is China’s newly rising gold production base.

Guizhou is an important province for power transmission from west to east in China, and is also an important energy and raw material base in the south determined by the country. Guizhou has unique advantages such as good ecological environment, low energy prices, and stable geology. It is the most suitable province for building large data centers in southern China.

The famous Chinese liquor Maotai is produced in Guizhou. Guizhou has 6 cities, 3 autonomous prefectures, and Guiyang, the capital of the province. Guizhou’s industrial superior industries are phosphorous coal chemical industry, aviation manufacturing, electronic information, biomedicine, etc.
