Located in northern China, a provincial administrative region of the People’s Republic of China, referred to as Inner Mongolia, which is one of the five autonomous regions in China. The cemetery of Genghis Khan is located in Inner Mongolia. The traditional diet of the Mongolian people is relatively rugged, with mutton, milk, wild vegetables and pasta as the main raw materials. Inner Mongolia is rich in mineral resources and has large reserves and good development conditions.There are 17 species with the highest reserves in the country and 43 species with the top 3 in the country, and the rare earth reserves are the first in the world. The Baotou, Inner Mongolia Baiyun Ebo mine in is the world’s largest rare earth mine.
Animal Husbandry & Dairy Industry
Grassland, forest, and per capita land area ranks first in the country. Inner Mongolia is China’s largest grassland pastoral area. The number of horses in stock is 840,000, ranking first in the country. There are 6.1 million cattle and 60 million sheep. In 2018, 170,000 snail heads were raised, making it the largest camel breeding area in China.
Inner Mongolia has 18 border ports, of which Manzhouli port is the largest land port in mainland China, and Erlianhot is the largest border port to Mongolia. Mining, animal husbandry and dairy industry are the pillar industries of Inner Mongolia.
